WHAT: Due to visiting holiday ghosts, some students and staff find themselves living in the past...and a great deal younger than they're used to. But not all of them, so I hope they know how to babysit!

Headmaster? No, I was asking- [Rhys stops himself, then licks his bottom lip in a nervous gesture, wondering if he's gotten into some sort of trouble now.] Rhys Rhydderch, sir. I don't think we've met, I'd remember. Maybe you know my father?

[Though how, he couldn't imagine.]

[Trying. Not to look utterly horrified by this. Honestly, the castle has pulled stranger tricks but it always seemed as if Rhys had a weird sort of immunity. As with most things involving Rhys, he found it most irritating.]

Does your father share your name, by any chance?

No, sir, he's Maddoc Rhydderch. [Which means this man doesn't know him, though he's curious about this other Rhys Rhydderch, especially since this unknown teacher seems to have some sort of emotional reaction to him, though he's hiding it.]

[wwistful]

A fine name, indeed. [His expression doesn't really make those words seem genuine. He knows it's Rhys now, and he's disturbed by it, but what can he do.

The temptation to mess around with him is high, but the worry that he'll remember it when he's older is there too. That and, he is the least creative man in the world. He has no idea what he could do with the boy. He supposes he'll simply engage him in conversation and see how it goes.]

Are you alright, lad? You seem a tad out of sorts.

As I said, a great many people seem to have disappeared. [uncomfortably] If you don't know what's happened to them, I suppose I should ask someone else.

[wwistful]

I don't think they've disappeared so much as you have, actually. Congratulations, lad. You've lost at least a hundred odd years on your age.

[higherthaneverybody]

W-what? [gives the man a startled look] What do you mean?

[wwistful]

I meant exactly what I said, boy. The castle is playin' a trick on all of us again. [He gives him a bored look.] Most days, you're a professor here.

[higherthaneverybody]

You're to tell me I'm normally a 120 year old professor here, and it's [quick mental calculation] sometimes in the 2070s? [That just doesn't make sense!]

[wwistful]

I never gave an exact age. [Damn, foiled again.] You don't make a habit of sayin' it and I don't make a habit of askin'. But I'm not lyin'.

[higherthaneverybody]

But very old. [looks at the other man for a long moment, then drops his gaze, biting the inside of his lip] And you don't like me very much.

[wwistful]

Yes. Older than many but not as old as most. [He narrows his eyes.] And what gave you that impression?

[higherthaneverybody]

[Shrugs, and keeps looking down at the ground. Rhys has always been good at reading people, and he's getting a vibe off Murdoc that's making him very uncomfortable - he's not sure what old man him did, but in his strange time he very much need someone sympathetic to his plight, and he's pretty sure he's not going to find it in this professor.]

[wwistful]

As you wish. [He raises an eyebrow at the silence and the shrug. He doesn't want to feel bad, but he does anyway.] Is there anyway in which I can assist you?

Not unless you know about time travel. [mutters, then] Do you know where the Headmaster is? He might, ah, remember me, and could help.

[wwistful]

He's probably in his office. If he's even there, that is. He tends to come and go as he pleases.

Does the name Dumbledore seem familiar?

He teaches Transfiguration. Though you've said he's Headmaster, now. I do- ... did well in his class, sir.
