WHAT: Due to visiting holiday ghosts, some students and staff find themselves living in the past...and a great deal younger than they're used to. But not all of them, so I hope they know how to babysit!

[Well, she's not running away screaming so that's something. She does however look awfully uncomfortable.]
I'm sorry. I don't mean to just lay all of this on you. It's just..well, you remind me of someone I care a lot about so..well, lying to you feels wrong.
[At least she's asking questions.]

Oh, that. Yeah. The potion I take every day lets me go out in daylight too. A lot of the stuff you hear about vampires isn't true but that one is.
[He gives a wan smile.]
Thanks for listening at least. Um, I'll understand if you want me to just stop talking and go away though.

[Her gaze lingers on the sunlight outside, and her teeth dent her lower lip. A vampire. She's never met a vampire or even thought to meet one and now there's one here in front of her, and.. well, what's a girl to do?

She shakes her head once and then takes his arm again.]

Don't be silly. How would I find the hospital wing?

[marshall_lee]

[He gives a relieved smile. She still doesn't look very certain but at least she's not letting it stop her.]

You seem okay to me but I'll still take you there if you don't mind.

[He kind of hates the idea of handing her off to just sit around in the hospital wing. If this thing is castle wide the place will bound to be busy and they're currently minus one nurse.]

It'll probably be crowded there if this really is a castle wide thing though..
[And suddenly he feels a little awkward.]
Um, if you'd rather not bother you could always hang out with me for a while.

[To be honest, very little stops her, and certainly not something like finding out the boy she's talking to is a vampire. He seem quite nice enough, and she doesn't feel threatened by him - though whether that's her own nerve or his unintentional influence is anyone's guess.

He does have a point, though.]

.. We can at least find out. If it is busy, I shan't bother them.

[After all, she's perfectly healthy. She smiles cheekily.]

Are you always so forward with girls?

[Out of all the vampires she could possibly meet, Marshall is definately one of the least harmful ones out there. He at least actively tries not to influence people.]

All right, that's fine.

[He feels a slight blush creep up on his cheeks and gives a little laugh.]
Only to the sweet ones.

[notyourmum]

[Her lips part, close, and then it's her turn to blush. She lowers her head and giggles, tucking her hair up behind her ear. Oh, Mr Lee, oh.]

Well then.. shall we?

[marshall_lee]

[He smiles and tucks her arm under his and pulls her up right next to him.]
Of course. And after you're deemed to be perfectly healthy what would you like to do?

[notyourmum]

[Oh, well then. She pats his arm and smiles warmly.]

Since I seem to be the one out of my element, maybe you'd like to show me around.

[marshall_lee]

[He smiles warmly back. Guh..why are you so cute teenage-Dolores?]
Of course. I bet you're probably getting hungry by now too.
Maybe we can go to the kitchens and see if we can have them pack up a lunch.
We, err..well, you could eat in the greenhouse..the plants are neat and it's warm in there.

[She can't deny she's quite hungry. With this odd change in time she has no idea how long it might have been since she last ate.

It takes her longer than it ought to to realise what he might be implying, and then there's the faint blush again.]

... It would be warm there, wouldn't it.

[Oh my.]

[marshall_lee]

[He smiled at the blush. Oh Dolores it's getting impossible for him to not like you even more when you're like this.]

"Yeah, it's a nice way to spend some time outside without freezing to death. Again. [He gave a wry smile and nudged her a bit.]
Sorry. I like to joke but I have a bad sense of humor.

[They had finally managed to make it to the hospital wing. As Marshall had predicted it was pretty busy inside and seemed to be full of..well, kids. Lots of kids. He kind of stared at the chaos in astonishment for a moment before turning back to her and laughing a little.]

So...I take it it'll be lunch then?

[notyourmum]

[She curls a finger in front of her lips to hide her smile as he jokes, as if somehow she thinks she shouldn't find it funny, but when he nudges her, she nudges back.]

It is quite grave.

[That's her own little joke. Her eyes twinkle.

When they get to the hospital wing, it's predictably crowded. Really, she'd like to go in and get herself checked out but she feels fine>, and she's not sure they'd let Marshall in if he's alright. She lets out a quiet laugh, and shrugs.]

It's a date.

[marshall_lee]

[She has no idea how happy he is that someone can not only finally get the private jokes he makes at his own expense but can make one herself. He laughs in delight.]

Good one! It's nice to hang out with someone that has a good sense of humor.

[He turned away from all of the chaos and held his arm out to her again. He smiles even wider (if that were possible) at the mention of the word "date".]
To the kitchens and to the greenhouse then!

[Her sense of humour only got better with age. When he offers his arm, she takes it, clasping her fingers around his forearm and allowing him to lead her off.

She doesn't know if it's a good thing to do, but something in her trusts him as if it's instinctive.]

Can you tell me about it?

[It's only when she's sure there's no one around that she asks, looking up at him.]

Being.. like that? What's it like?

[marshall_lee]

[He's a bit taken aback at her question but not in a bad way. His first instinct is to make a little joke such as "it sucks" and laugh but one look at her and the genuinely curious look on her face stops him. He makes a little 'hmmm' noise before answering.]

Well, it has it's perks. I've lived long enough to learn a lot of things which is nice. I've seen humanity make a lot of progress too..it's neat to look back at all of it.

The bad things are that it's kind of a lonely life. Sure, I can make friends and all but..well, it's hard doing that knowing that you'll always outlive them.

[He's speaking like he's kind of far away now.]
If I could go back..I wouldn't have done it..for a lot of reasons.

[Dolores thinks that over, then gently squeezes his hand.]

I'm sorry. It must be hard for you.

[marshall_lee]

[He squeezes her hand gently back. It's strange that it's warm now.]

It's had it's bad times but there's been a lot of good too. Life goes on even if you're dead I suppose.

[In an attempt to lighten the mood he smiles brightly.]

Besides, if I'd never turned I wouldn't be here today enjoying spending time with this awesome Hufflepuff girl I met today.
See? My unlife is looking up already!

[Dolores smiles brightly, then it turns a bit mischievous.]

[He grins back only too happy to play this kind of game. He pretends to stroke his chin thoughtfully.]

Hmm..I think so! Dark hair, super cute, really nice...I think you can totally meet her at any mirror around the castle.

[By this time they finally made their way to the kitchen and Marshall opened the door for her and stepped to the side and gestures for her to go ahead.]
