WHAT: Due to visiting holiday ghosts, some students and staff find themselves living in the past...and a great deal younger than they're used to. But not all of them, so I hope they know how to babysit!

[Murdoc can hardly bring himself to move. He's just staring down at Eridan and trying not to gape at him. It's him, of course, he'd know his son anywhere no matter how old he is.

Finally, he forces himself to crouch down in front of Eridan, giving him a confused look.]

Who did this to you?

[wwehs]

[And have a confused look right back at him.]

Huh? No one did this to me, Papa. I'm the same as always.

[He fidgets a bit with his oversized robe he's still toting around which does belong to him, and looking around for a moment.] Is there somethin' wrong with me?

[wwistful]

You're a helluva lot smaller than you were yesterday.

[He scowls, poking the boy's chest.] What happened yesterday?

[wwehs]

Nuh-uh. I'we been this size for a bit now! Fact, I grew another inch!!

[He makes a small squeak at the poking, then lightly places his hands on Murdoc's own, really really confused at what all he's saying.]

What...? Um. Well, I was at home with Cro and Nan for sure. I had a normal day an' I went to bed normal. I woke up here an' I don't remember gettin' here. ... Are we not on a trip? Should I not be here, Papa?

[wwistful]

A'course you did.

[He gives Eridan an exasperated look, followed by a loud sigh. This must be a joke, right? He tells himself that, but he can't imagine many people are talented enough to fake youth.

He can't help but smile ever so slightly as Eridan puts his little hand on his big hand. With everything that's been going on, he's started to find himself missing the more innocent versions of his sons. Perhaps he was glorifying the past, but they seemed so much easier pleased back then. He missed being hero daddy and not daddy can't do anything right daddy.

He frowns a little at the mention of Cronus, putting his hands on Eridan's waist and hoisting him up into his arms, smirking down at him.]

You're fine, love. Shall we look for Cro together?

[wwehs]

I did, I did! I'm an inch taller, Papa!

[And because of that, he tries to stand as tall as he can, which really? It aint giving him much more of a height difference. Just then, he stops only to find himself being lifted up now, clutching onto Murdoc's attire o he doesn't go anywhere. It's not like he doesn't trust Murdoc holding him, he just doesn't want to lose him again.]

Oh um, okay! [He pauses, reaching up the best he can to whisper into his ear.] ... Actually Papa? We don't gotta look for Cro, we can hawe fun without him!

[wwistful]

Yes, you're a very big boy. Makes it hard to carry you, don'tcha know?

[He jostles Eridan in his arms as if to illustrate his point. Which is bullshit, of course, Eridan is tiny now and carrying him isn't difficult at all.

He frowns a little at that response, raising a single eyebrow up at Eridan.]

What if he's lost as well, Eridan?

[wwehs]

Do y'want me to walk then, Papa? 'M big enough to walk!

[He squirms for a few moments in his arms until he brings up Cronus. Of course, yeah, if he is lost then Eridan's sad, but... He still frowns a bit, trying to give his biggest sad face he can.]

Hn... but Papa, I wanna spend time with you without him.

[wwistful]

Not if you're goin' to fall on your face again.

[He tightens his grip a little. It's true he doesn't want Eridan tripping up and hurting himself again, but really it's been so long since he's been able to hold him like this he finds himself wanting to keep doing so for as long as he can.]

You can spend time with me while we look for him.

[And they do look! They look everywhere for that dumb kid. It feels like he's been walking forever, really.]

[That's perfectly fine, because his walking is certainly rewarded by a certain pantsless(thank god for that long shirt) 6-year-old with a cigarette in his mouth. Honestly, he looks so cool he can't contain himself. He's pretty much sure when he was born, he got all the coolness while Eridan got all the lameness, certainly that's how this brother thing works. ANYWAYS, when he sees the two, him being in the damn courtyard of all places, he puts on a big grin and stands there pretty proud of himself. Because, wow, he has been wondering this big castle all on his own, he is so brave, didn't even cry twice! Look at him dad, he is the bravest AND the coolest, obviously the best son here.]

Hey what took ya!

[As if he was waiting for them, Cronus pls.]

I've been all through this super big castle, dad, this place is sooooo cool!

[Yep he's just padding his way on over, not a care in the freaking world.]
