Let's Play the Wishing Game!

WHO: Alfred F. Jones and Arthur Kirkland
TONE: TEENAGE FEELS. YOU GUYS. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND...
RATING: PG-13? oOo Idk.
WHEN: September 27th
WHERE: School. :V No but really. Potions class. Leaving it, rather.
WHAT: Arguments ensue, and then there's a wish. Oopsies that could be dangerous.
STATUS: Ongoing

Alfred was in a state of exasperation by the time the Potions class let out. Normally it was like that anyway, given that he felt less than comfortable around Professor Rhydderch, but this time it was worse. Perhaps it was fortuitous circumstance...or maybe it would have been if this were Charms or something he knew better...but he'd been paired with Arthur, and as usual, he'd found a way to screw up the potion. This time it didn't just affect his grade though, and he really did feel bad, so he'd done his best to restart and rectify his mistake. Arthur had probably done most of the fixing if he had to admit it though...

"Look, it wasn't on purpose okay?!" he attempted to defend himself as they left the class. "It's just that I'm shit with measurements and I did the one for the Valerian root wrong. I get it! Would you let it go?! We managed to fix it didn't we??"

Barely.

The fact that Alfred didn't, in fact, swoop in to kiss him was definitely appreciated. He might have found himself being headbutted if he had, and while Arthur squirmed just a little under the other boy's arm he didn't try to move out from underneath it.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't go telling all and sundry about this," he said then, frowning up at him.

"If you can possibly manage that."

"... You can say that. Do not make a bloody fuss, Alfred, I won't stand for it."

Arthur had no idea at that moment how much he would later regret giving Alfred that kind of permission, but at the moment, he didn't see the harm in it.
