I think I know what you mean. It's a sense of incompletion, isn't it? As if you're missing a part of you that's vital, but almost imperceptible unless you know where to look for it.

I suppose it's mostly the way you tend to word things. Or the way you seem to understand the world. I'm not sure, but I don't think it really matters as long as we fit.
