WHAT: Murdoc has had a shitty summer, he's letting Peter visit in the hopes that he'll cheer things up a little.
STATUS: Ongoing
He'd been a little hesitant at first over the journals, despite offering the invitation himself. Afterward, he began to feel the awkward anxious nerves about inviting the man over and the little niggling feel of regret. He wasn't much of a social creature, but he'd spent far too much of this summer either alone or with his son to turn down a chance for some friendly fun. He just hoped he wouldn't bore the younger man. They had so little in common and such a big difference in age that the entire prospect of the visit seemed so terribly strange.
Peter, of course, didn't seem put off by the idea at all, he hardly seemed put off by anything. It was frustrating in the sense that Murdoc could never be as uptight and tense as he wanted to be. Still, he couldn't help being a little nervous as the day grew closer. Luckily, the dates clashed with Eridan's visit to Feferi's house, ensuring only Peter would see his father flustering about the younger man.
Finally, the day came. Murdoc isn't sure if he slept the night before or just cleaned all the way through it. The entire house is spotless and he's dressed as casually as he can in black pants and a loose white, dress shirt. He deserves a 'you tried' sticker so badly right now.
