WHERE: Any and all of Diagon Alley
WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: Remember that this event is semi-open! Any HP AU character can have fun here, whether you're in the game or not, so have fun! If you missed the rush for the first log, here's a second chance to have fun, and start some of that September plotting!

[wrinkles his nose in disgust] Ugh ... yes, I suppose that's true. Though I've been thinking - I don't know why they don't teach us proper enchantment, but I'm sure it can't be hard to research. If an item could be enchanted to produce some kind of force field, then it could be used outside of school and get around all the ridiculous restrictions they impose. Something triggered by an attack ...

So far, but the day is young yet. [amused] You're not familiar - new professor at Hogwarts?

[Of course, he could just be some guy going about his business, or a parent, but he doesn't look like a parent somehow, and the Alley is full of people getting things for school, and other professors. It's not too much of a stretch.]

Honestly, I don't think they're worth that much effort. Maybe we should just start carrying around bones and pull them out whenever they show up.

I think they're the kind of dogs that prefer live meat. [bitterly] The thrill of the chase, or whatever nonsense.

[Kiku happens to be looking around as well. He's taking his time looking around, trying to decide on a new pet. While he was thinking of a cat, he still decided to look at the owls, where he spots another boy.]

[It seems he is not alone anymore. He does suppose that it is a busy time with students getting their supplies and stuff. He raises a hand and waves]

Hiya. [Time to stare at each other or at least he is taking this time to stare at him.]

You are a Hogwarts student, I assume? [He raises a hand in response and looks at the owls.]

[He gives him a highfive when the other guy raises his hand. He stays silent for a moment then finally responds.]

Yes, so like you must be one too.

[He looks a little confused at the highfive, but nods once.] I am, what year are you? You look young.

That's another question coming from someone I don't really know. [He looks him over as if suspicious of him]

[Then he has to be direct with this guy...] My name is Kiku Honda. I am a Ravenclaw 7th year.

[He raises his hand to his chin as if in thought]

I mean, knowing someone's name, school year and the house they belong to doesn't say much. Maybe if you told me a little more.

How old are you? What's your blood type? Where do you live outside of school? Tell me all your hobbies.

I-I am seventeen, blood type A, I live in London and my hobbies are reading, and playing games.

[He is startled at first but he figures it is easy to get distracted in this place.]

[Lovi blanks out for a second, surprised at the others bluntness.]

Ah..uh not a formal one I guess, so uh I'm sorry? I really didn't see you there..

What are you going to do once you're out of Hogwarts? Can I also have your address?

[He thinks things over for a moment before replying.]
