Gamzee's face was a picture of narrow-eyed concentration. It actually erased all the dopiness from his face when he was focused like this, and he took out a slim brush, loading it with the black face paint, and then carefully lining Equius's eyes. He did it much thicker than the younger boy usually did for himself, heavy, doll-like lines that made the Ravenclaw look almost startled. The brush was cool against Equius's skin, and Gamzee's hands were remarkably deft, though he grasped the other boy's chin rather roughly at several points, to turn his face this way and that to examine the effect.
