Tavros was confused by that. Both things, the hand on his and the statement that he didn't have to say anything. He'd made Karkat pull away by touching him, so why was he doing that? He was so confused. And he felt like he should say something. He just didn't know what to say, and the butterflies in his stomach were fluttering around and making him feel weird. He wanted them to just... go away. But he didn't know how to even make them.

Finally he swallowed, and stared down at Karkat's hand. "Okay..." was the only thing that would come out, because he still didn't know what to even say. Or do, for that matter. So he just sat there, feeling more awkward than he had in a long time, his eyes flicking around, before they finally trailed up to meet Karkat's, which ended up somehow making the butterflies fly around wildly. He bit his lips, as a blush formed on his cheeks again.
