[The force of Kid's shield spell was surprisingly strong- which meant that Galen's second spell was completely harmless to him, and Galen himself had to recoil from the physical force of the shield. Galen could only assume he had really, really pissed Kid off for that to happen.
By this point the smoke had started clearing so it was easier to see, and Galen looked around for something that might give him an advantage. The only thing that came to mind were desks, and- suddenly an idea was forming.
He flicked his wand at a desk directly behind Kid.]
Carpe Retractum!
[A beam of orange coloured light shot from his wand and seized the desk. With a pulling motion, the desk came flying toward Kid's back, and Galen himself dove out of the way so that he wouldn't be hit too.]
