[Sherlock tried to just keep walking but the shadow seemed to want to stay and there was no way in hell he was leaving it alone.]
I'm him. Well, he'd be me if he had sense enough to stop running from the truth.

[At times, Greg's got bulldog tenacity and this is one of those times that he decided to use it. Immediately he followed Sherlock, keeping up with the lanky teen.]
How is he you? Is this a spell gone wrong? Some kind of Polyjuice Potion that went stale?
no subject
[Sherlock didn't slow down in his stride. The less Greg heard from the shade the better.]
Sherlock, don't be an idiot. Your Hufflepuff posse is actually the most likely to understand and assist in behavioral therapy. It's a bit too late to learn to be self sufficient but you have a great deal to still learn in social arenas.
no subject
["Upset"? That's a word he never expected to associate with Holmes. It was rather unnerving to see the usually calm Sherlock lose his cool.]
What "behavioural therapy?" Sherlock, just...just stop for a few minutes and tell me what's going on!
no subject
Why has everyone decided that today is a fantastic day to prove minor skills in deduction? Just leave it!
Rude again.
Shut up!
What would Mummy say if she saw you like this? Breaks her heart enough to know she can't wave a wand and make you better. And here you don't even try to change what can be changed. That's the only thing worth pitying here. You're so stupid sometimes.
no subject
[And by you, he pointed a finger at the second Sherlock, scowling heavily.]
Shut up and bugger off. Clearly you've got something against Sherlock here and while I admit he can be a bit of a git at times, he's got his good points so you can take your opinions and shove them back up your arsehole. You're clearly only interested in running him down.
[That said, he turned back to Sherlock, tone switching to one that's still gruff, but with less bite in it.]
I'm not leaving it because it's upsetting you. I'm not a genius at deduction but I do know that he's saying some things that are pushing a few of your buttons, and you're not the type to just let some words upset you are you?
no subject
I really would prefer you not give any thought to this. My reactions, it's words, none of it matters.
[The shadow swept along to Greg's other side.]
Ah, but Greg's never liked secrets. Shining light on darkness is a personal preoccupation. It's why he introduced you to John Watson, was it not? Volume 12, page 37.
no subject
[They weren't friends. But Greg respects Sherlock, respects his intelligence and his cunning a little. And to see him put to shame by whatever spell gone wrong just seemed wrong, especially when Sherlock, while not the most moral or upright wizard, isn't nearly as bad as this thing was painting him as.
Though when the shade brought up John, a muscle definitely twitched near his jaw. Choosing instead to ignore it, he addressed Sherlock directly instead.]
Look, it's just not right to leave you alone when you're like this. Is there a professor we could see? Someone who can get rid of this damn fake?
no subject
[Sherlock cast his gaze around to see if he could see others. The nature of these things was... unfamiliar.]
Are you just going to leave it there, Sherlock? You're not going to point out how wrong he is?
[The shadow sighed.]
You see, Greg, but you do not observe. You think I'm what's upsetting him? I honestly can't tell him a thing he hasn't already heard or thought about and then ignored. I can tell you though. I control the flow of secrets and information and all he can do is walk faster and hope you stop following. Not that I even have to tell you. The idea's already planted. You can't help but want to know now. Sorry to say it's actually not all that interesting--bit hyped up by his obstinacy, really.
no subject
[The shadow's comment drew a sharp glare from Greg at it's way. It was true that he was interested, but he didn't want to learn about Sherlock this way. It just wasn't right.]
Really? Because all I'm seeing here is someone who's deliberately trying to bring a man down. So if Sherlock here pisses you off so much, why don't you just get lost yourself?
no subject
He doesn't 'piss me off'. He's just acting like an idiot. He's better than this. And if he wants any sort of life after school, he needs to face facts.
[Sherlock waved his hand for the shadow to shut up. Greg was on to something.]
The memorial... it started after that event, yes. Possibly some sort of curse, then. The people you observed, do you know their bloodclass?
no subject
I'm not sure of all of them, but...I'd say they were a mix bunch.
[Pausing, his voice dropped to a low tone as he voiced his suspicions.]
You don't think someone's targeting Pure-bloods, do you?
no subject
[Sherlock scowled. If it was mixed then it didn't work. Something else was going on.]
There must be some common factor. Or else everyone would be affected.
no subject
[What a role reversal.]
But maybe it's just random.

You have more than enough problems of your own to deal with without involving yourself in other people's issues. If you don't want Mycroft planning your future as though you were his toy doll then it's time to get to work.

You mock him to his face. Special needs is not a free ticket to insubordination.

no subject
I suppose it is the most logical choice.
And it's hard to be scared of a man who already knows everything I could tell him anyway.
no subject
Good luck with it Sherlock.
no subject
Ah... thank you...
[He leaves at that. Greg can take for gratitude in any way that pleases him.]
