[Sherlock closed his eyes with a deep breath but kept walking, keeping silent.]

The saddest truth of all may be that he is the only man who will ever truly understand what it's like to be brilliant and far from normal. Every good tragedy has a funeral and in the end, one of you is certainly going to be the death of the other. Right now, it'll be your death at his hands. It doesn't have to be. You could change that. But it's far from avoidable. You met the devil at age eleven and he stole your soul before you even knew you had one.]

[He finally broke the silence between the two.]

You know, Sherlock, you claim to be a sociopath, but you run from one. One that's done nothing to you. I'm curious how you'd react to one that has done something to you.

[He wet his lips idly as he thought.]

I've been thinking a lot lately, I always do, but these same thoughts keeping popping in my mind. Remember third year when I told you I was tired of all of this? Of the normal people, the ones with hearts, the easy manipulation? Where's the fun when you win the game? Being alive. It's so tedious.

[Was this somehow a sociopath's way of needing to talk to a "friend?"]

School itself is tedious. It won't always be the case once you graduate.

[He seems to stay quiet for a moment, thinking.]

It will still be boring then. Nothing changes. It's all the same, day in and day out. I can think of so many ways to be on top of the world when I graduate. But being on top gets so boring.

[He intentionally kept conversation short. It was difficult to pretend nothing was wrong in Moriarty's presence.]

[It would be a lie to say Moriarty wasn't trying to figure out what was wrong with the other, he kept noticing the random changes in expression.]

Still tedious, Sherlock. Are you going to tell me what's wrong or should I start guessing?

[He scoweld even deeper. That sounded like an invitation to try even to himself.]

It's a spell. I'm dealing with it. As you can imagine, I'm rather occupied with it. I would... appreciate.. being left alone.

[He seemed to choose to ignore the last request for now.]

If you're dealing with it, it shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know. I'm going to speak to Professor Donoghue. Perhaps he'll know.

[He shrugged.]

[Sherlock pursed his lips slightly at that.]

He doesn't care. Not about you. Just in what could happen to you. How you react to what already is happening. Don't pretend to think he actually cares. If you believe that, you'd worse off than even I thought.

[Sherlock nodded.]

Will you be all that fussy if I continue to walk with you there? I am rather lonely. [And want to keep an eye on my things because whoever is harassing my things is going to be in a lot of pain. He wondered what the usage of the word 'lonely' would get out of Sherlock.] Good company is generally hard to find.

[Moriarty looked up to the ceiling for a moment, eyes scanning it as some unspoken thought raced through his mind.]

I don't get "fussy".

[Sherlock scowled.]

And actually I'd rather you didn't. It's hard enough with one voice ringing in my ears.

[There was a pause from him before it turned into a full on deathly silence. The silence lasted a pretty long time before he stopped abruptly to turn around and start walking the other way.]
