[Sherlock breathed out in relief at that much at least. He didn’t need the stress of trying to shut the shadow up in someone’s presence who could actually hear it.]

Good…. I mean, no. Not wrong, just.. not quite right. Some sort of spell in the air and I’m not entirely certain how to counter it.

I'm afraid I don't know how to counter it myself... [she began mumbling]

However, the good part might be that it won't last for long! That's the most important part right? [Trying to keep optimistic here!]

More? Um...[With that, she turns her head a bit to see the figure leaning on a corner somewhere.

She takes a sharp inhale before looking back at Sherlock]

I've seen myself but she...appears to be surrounded by a black mist of some kind. I can't describe it but she follows me everywhere I go, I can't seem to escape from what she's saying.

[Sherlock nodded.]

It's the same with me. Why would they target you though? You haven't done anything. Hell, you're practically invisible. Why would you and I fall under the same attack?

I suppose it might have something to do with the castle? I don't think I'm the only one being affected by this. I've seen a couple of others who are...having issues.

It's an interesting game if it's somehow linked to Halloween. It can hardly be a curse if it's being so indiscriminate. I mean, you and I have nothing in common. Different blood status, different houses, different gender. About the only thing we have in common is Moriarty and while I wouldn't put it past him, I have my doubts this has anything to do with him.

[He mulled it over, ruffling his own curls.]

I-I doubt it myself but...that doesn't change that everyone here will need to talk to someone about this. Or...at least try to find some comfort in others.

Comfort? From what, mostly unseen phantoms with a penchant for rattling off unfavorable facts? 'Comfort' is the least of our needs--it's a preemptive attempt to heal a wound when the weapon is still buried in the flesh. We need answers and a plan of action. Certainly someone knows what is going on.

[She didn't want to think that someone was cruel enough to do this to other people. She let out a sigh before responding to his next question. Boy is it fun being the monkey in the middle.]

Maybe it would be best to go talk to him now while the curse is still around. Just in case if anything like this should happen...or if he even knows it.

Yes, I'll speak to the professor as soon as possible. Perhaps, though, we should both avoid Moriarty at all costs until this clears up. Last thing I need is him listening in on this.

Molly, in case you failed to notice, Jim’s rather gone insane. Maybe you like crazy people but honestly I don’t think doormat is something to strive for.
