[Who knew the Great Hall could look like a classy club. The music is loud, the lights are all over the place and the dance floor is begging you to cut a rug.]

You know, I think it should be a school rule that if one professor is out on the dance floor, the others should join them, so they look less.... I'm gonna go with hyperactive.

That's a nice way of putting it. I think I'll break that rule though, dancing in front of students sounds like blackmail waiting to happen.

With the way Thor's dancing... I don't think anyone is going to notice you out there to take blackmail shots.... Which reminds me, I promised his brother embarrassing photos...
In any case, you should get out there. Drag someone else up too... Like... Anyone. Professor Vantas is in dire need of back up dancers.

Professor Mercer? I'm sorry to interrupt, but there's a popular theory that the dance is actually a sort of practical social exam and I was wondering if you could tell me if that was true.

[By "popular theory", he means "something he and Robinson have been worrying about" but he's not going to mention that.]

If it is a social exams, it's an exam by your peers. Teachers were your age once and knew how awkward it was, so we wouldn't test you on it.
